Daniel Walsh has worked in the computer security field for 30 years. Since joining Red Hat in August 2001, he has led the SELinux project, concentrating on the application space and policy development. He helped develop sVirt and created the SELinux Sandbox, virt sandbox, the Xguest user, and the Secure Kiosk. Previously, Dan worked at Netect/Bindview on vulnerability assessment products and at Digital Equipment Corporation on the Athena Project and AltaVista Firewall/Tunnel (VPN) products. Dan has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the College of the Holy Cross and a master’s degree in computer science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
